KYC (Know Your Customer) norms mandatory for Custom House Agents
CBEC, under Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue has made KYC (Know Your Customer) norms mandatory for all Custom House Agents in India. CBEC has issued a circular 9/2010 Dt.08/04/2010, putting onus on CHA of fulfilling KYC norms. They have also stipulated documents to be obtained from Importers / Exporters.
